Why use an RICS Valuer?

The Inheritance Tax Toolkit on the HMRC website provides guidance and advice for probate practitioners and states: “Valuations are the biggest single area of risk, accounting for a large part of HMRC's compliance checks. It is important to properly ascertain the value of assets. For assets with a material value you are strongly advised to instruct a qualified independent valuer, to make sure the valuation is made for the purposes of the relevant legislation”.

Art market expertise

With access to years of combined experience, our team of consultants, curator’s and specialist valuers offer independent impartial advice.

All valuation work is preceded by detailed terms of engagement with a clear explanation of the valuation process, the basis of valuation and methods adopted. Understanding your requirements is key to a successful valuation.

Peace of mind

The valuation work of a RICS Regulated firm is underwritten by a RICS approved professional indemnity insurance policy. RICS also require membership of an Alternative Dispute Resolution scheme (ADR). As part of our auction consignment services, we do not handle client money and act as an intermediary between the executors of the estate and the auction houses.
